Destined for landfill or even the ocean, this plastic will live another life as a new product. Our plastic (originally bottle caps) is collected by our community, cleaned, sorted, and then processed for recycling. All of our shredded plastic is completely 'pure', containing no added binders, colourants or virgin materials.
Note: As our shredded plastic is produced using reclaimed materials only, colours may vary slightly from pictured, contain a mix of similar hues, or the odd fleck from a different colour.

LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) is recognised for its amorphous structure, enhancing flexibility and transparency. With a melting point of 115°C, LDPE is favoured for applications requiring bendability. Whilst LDPE offers superior transparency to HDPE, it's more prone to stress-induced cracking. Its heightened pliancy suits applications prioritising flexibility, however users should be cautious about stress-induced cracking, particularly in situations where rigidity is required.
HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is known for its rigid and durable characteristics, providing excellent chemical resistance. With a melting point of 135°C, HDPE exhibits superior heat resistance compared to LDPE. The crystalline structure of HDPE imparts greater strength and opacity to the material.

Shredded plastic is shipped in resealable zip lock bags. We try to utilise pre-loved bags wherever possible, and encourage you to return your bag (or even find a way to reuse it yourself!) once you've recycled all of your shredded plastic.
