Safety first!

The Benchtop Extruder was designed around the relevant series of safety standards, complying with AS/NZS 4024.1 Safety Of Machinery (this series covers everything from the general principles of safety or machinery to risk assessment guidance and methods, controls, guarding, ergonomics right through to anthropometric data) and AS/NZS 3820 Essential Requirements For Electrical Equipment. The product includes all appropriate power switches, guarding (such as protective covers over main heating areas) and warning labels.

Benchtop Extruder in a Primary School

Our school has purchased the tabletop shredder and extruder to use with students in yr1-6 in our science lab. Students have learnt how to collect LDPE & HDPE lids for shredding, melting and moulding. Students have enjoyed making carabiners over the past year and half, and are now anxiously waiting for our mini pot and tumbling tower block to arrive. Pearz gave me all the information I needed to safely operate machines in a classroom environment that I have passed onto my students. PPM are quick at replying to queries and have included our logo onto our moulds. An amazing team doing amazing work!

Best benchtop extruder out there!

We bought the benchtop extruder in January 2022 and it's seen plenty of use at events we do either at schools, festivals or more corporate-style.
It's super easy to use and is great to engage people in the recycling process!
Well built, aesthetically pleasing and the best benchtop extruder I've seen out there. It seemed a bit crazy to ship it from Australia to the UK but it was the right choice.
Customer service also great which is worth a lot!

Would highly recommend for playing around in the workshop but especially for taking it out and about to events!

Portable & Powerful!

I purchased the Hand-cranked Bench top Extrusion machine from Piers and Kayla at PPM back in January 2022 and have since been using it to create small pocket combs that are extruded into one of their aluminium moulds. The machine is incredibly effective and I’ve been able to use it with children in education settings to help teach them about the recycling process. The kids are able to use the hand crank to make their very own combs! The machine fills the moulds quickly which works great when running my workshops.

The size of the actual machine means it’s extremely portable and requires very minimal space to set up, which I think is one of its best attributes. The setup of the machine was very straight forward, as is changing/setting temperature.

I’ve been extremely happy with my purchase of this machine and am looking forward to adding their newest addition - the Plastic Shredder - which is also a smaller more portable version, to my workspace.
